Customizing Help

Customizing the look and feel of each and every page is a key advantage of using our scripts!  No longer to you have to "accept" the look of the program in it's original form as with using other scripts!

The ease of integrating all of our scripts  into any website quickly and seamlessly is the major advantage of our product.  No more hard to understand cgi code to get your pages to come out the way you want them to.  Literally all scripts can be integrated into any website by changing just one "Global" template!

Here's how it works:

Step 1
Create a webpage template that looks exactly like your website but with nothing in the middle.

Step 2
Simply insert a tag called {{INSERT_BODY_HERE}} in the middle of your template where you want the content of the results displayed.
*Note: Make sure the {{INSERT_BODY_HERE}} is in all caps and has the underscore between each word.

Step 3
Save your html template as a text file called gl_visitors.txt in the directory as shown below:
yoursite\cgi-bin\master\cgitpl\gl_visitors.txt

You're done!

You've just integrated all of the visitor's page to the look and feel of your website in just 5 minutes!

Quick Note:  There are three global templates, but only the gl_visitors.txt needs to be modified...

gl_visitors.txt Global template for visitor's views
gl_admin.txt Global template for master admin pages
gl_members.txt Global template for member admin pages

That's right!  You can even create your very own unique control panel for the master admin script and your member's admin pages!  Just do the 3 steps above saving them as any of the global template files!

So you want flexibility with the output pages?

No problem!

There are over 60 "body" template pages included with our scripts that contain the actual html generated by our scripts.   Don't worry!  These do NOT need to modified!  But the thing is, you can if you want!  There is no programming required!  All "body" templates are designed in html!  For more information on "body" templates and how to customize them, simply go to our manual at the link below.  Once there, click on the "view" link under the "Templates" column next to the script (IE: classifieds) that you would like to customize the body pages for.  Integrating our package is that flexible... and easy!
